NOVEMBER 9th, 1944 COMMEMORATIVE STAMP The graphic artist K. Diebitsch created the commemorative stamp honoring the 9th November, 1944. The photo essay shows the size of the “Agfa“ paper which was used in the photographic department of
the pre-production in the Staatsdruckerei. Along the margins the typical characteristics of the hand perforation can be seen. Only this item is known to date.

10TH ANNIVERSARY WHW WINTER AID RELIEF FUND – 1943 Photo essay of the final drawing of Axster-Heudtlass in a mirror inverted position. In this way, consequently negative, the motif was applied onto the steel plate, the so-called steel
original. This was the precondition that the engraver could start his work. Wolfgang Jakubek knew only one other piece which was sold in 1976 to the United States.

In 1942 Erich Meerwald created four motifs which made it into the pre-production of the Vienna Staatsdruckerei. He integrated the inscription “WINTERHILFSWERK“ into the design. “For these motifs also the names of other organisations could
