Expertized and certified authentic by BPV ASEP (Certificate No. 04789, Hans P. Renggli, 1990). Estimated value (certified, 2025): SG 2S catalog £1,090; similar certified covers with red rosette cancel estimate $1,500–$2,000.

486 Used , veryfine , Sheet Letter   imageSwitzerland, Canton Geneva, 1846 5c Black/Yellow-Green "Grosser Adler" (Zürich No. 6) on folded letter addressed to Boissier, Cologny. Tied by clear Rosette AW No. 4 cancel with adjacent Genève cds dated 8 August 1848. Genuine franking confirmed by Swiss Association of Philatelic Experts (ASEP) certificate No. 31241 (Feb 1994, expert A. von der Weld). The stamp is clean and color-rich, with wide margins except for a slight touch at lower left; overall very fine condition. a cover with this stamp and clear cancellation Michel estimate €3500.

487 Used , veryfine , Sheet Letter   imageSwitzerland 1850 Rayon II 10 Rp (yellow/black/red, no frame around cross; Scott 8 / Zumstein 16 II , SG 10) on folded letter to Schwyz, 18 June 1851 afternoon, (indicated by reverse “Z” datestamp), tied by the Zurich ‘Rosette’ (black Swiss cross within ornamental quatrefoil). On the back are two circular postmarks—one in blue ink and a faint second strike. Estimated value (uncertified): single used stamp $50–85 USD; cover with Rosette cancel $400–600 USD.

The stamp is fresh in color, well to broad-margined, and neatly applied on a clean, attractive folded letter. Exceptional condition throughout, with cancellation extending nicely onto the letter.
