Deep blue, mint never hinged (MNH), extremely fine centering, vivid fresh color, and full original gum. Issued to commemorate the elevation of Crown Prince Hirohito on 3 November 1916, in a limited printing of only 86,000, most have since been used. Exceptionally rare, thus in MNH. Scott Catalog lists unused at $825, with recent auction realizations under $850 for top condition. A premier item for specialist collectors of Japanese imperial commemoratives
