360 veryfine , Sheet Letter   image1854. 5c Blue - MiNr: 1a Pl-I, Steel Blue (back) 4 said margin example, tied by clear GOUDA / FRANCO.  to local cover to Rotterdam, superb Netherlands, 1854: Domestic rate letter posted from Gouda to Rotterdam, correctly franked with 5c steel Blue (MiNr: 1a Pl-I), paying the rate for up to and including 30 miles. The letter bears the rare Gouda cancellation of Type 30 in black, with the marking "GOUDA 14/4 / FRANCO", indicating same-day delivery. The reverse shows the route CDS, confirming the postal route taken.

362     image1863, Netherlands (Pays-Bas), by sea cover to Rome. A well-traveled cover from Roermond, Netherlands, dated April 7, 1863, red cds (indicating the postage rate will be paid by the receiver).  Addressed to Monsieur R.H. Cuypers, Architect, at the Hospice dell' Anima in Rome, Italy. The cover traveled  by sea and features the maritime semi-circular handstamp "CIVITAVECCHIA DALLA VIA DI MARE,"  in black, used on letters that disembarked at the port of Civitavecchia, Italy. The cover also bears the arrival postmark from Rome, dated April 12, on the reverse.

363 veryfine , Sheet Letter   image1830, Stampless diplomatic cover from Brussels to Mr. S. Chevalier C. Abreu e Lima, Brazilian Envoy to the Netherlands. The cover is canceled with a red month-date CDS on both sides, indicating it was posted on August 17, 1830, and received the following day in Brussels. Rate markings are visible on the reverse. The letter, written in Portuguese, discusses financial matters, mentioning "Deposito" (deposit) and "Londres" (London), suggesting international correspondence. It references payments, debts, and a "negociante de Paris" (merchant from Paris), with the writer requesting the recipient’s assistance in resolving these issues.
