It seems that this year his going by quickly, as another school year has started, and the stamp shows we attend are just around the corner. As I write this we are preparing for the National Postage Stamp and Coin Show this weekend as well as September 12-13, 2026. As well as CANPEX in London, October 17-18, 2026, ORAPEX in Ottawa, May 1-2, 2027. Unfortunately, we will not be able to attend the Quebec City Stamp and Old Paper Show May 29-30, 2027, but we highly recommend that you attend if possible.

We will be bringing the smaller lots with us to CANPEX for your viewing pleasure. If you have any requests for bigger lots please feel free to contact us and we’ll see what we can do to accommodate you. and

We strongly encourage bidders to use Stamp Auction Network’s bidding platform as it allows you to ensure that your bids are entered correctly. We still take bids by mail, phone and email if you prefer. If you are sending them by mail, please make sure that you mail them early enough, so we receive them prior to the sale.

For our American bidders, please be advised that your government has placed a 50% tariff on Canadian goods and that now affects postage stamps and other philatelic material. Your government requires us, the shipper, to pa these tariffs when we ship. Unfortunately, we will have to add the tariff to your invoice. If you are planning a trip to Canada, especial in the Toronto area, we would be happy to have you pick these items up at our offices or we cab ship them to the place you are visiting in Canada, usual delivery in Canada is next day to 4 days depending on where you’re located.

Invoices will be emailed shortly after the sale. Invoices addressed to the US will take a bit longer, as we need to manually add the new tariffs that the US government created.

Our auctions are held in Canadian $. Shipping addresses outside of Canada will also have the US$ amount at the rate used on the day of the sale. Please feel free to pay either one. Also note that Canadian banks now put a 15 day hold on all US cheques. You may choose to make a payment by bank transfer to us to avoid this delay. You can pay in either US or Canadian funds.

Please call 416-363-7777 or email me at peter@maresch.com to discuss how we may help.
