150" (blue), & triangular "Service Censor No. 31" (blue), with censor's signature. To Wellington, NZ. This h/s was used at Nemeara, New Caledonia by 15th NZ Infantry Brigade, use recorded only 21/4-16/5/43. Sender's details on flap. Also b/s
pencilled date "15/8/43". VG cond. Also similar cover (ex same correspondence, same period), VG generic h/s "N.Z.E.F. / FIELD / POST OFFICE" (violet), Startup type "D2" (much longer use, until Aug 1944). (Image)

1943 WWII stampless OAS covers x 3, ex Pacific theatre to NZ, all ex the same RNZAF sender: (a) with American Red Cross imprint & light rectangular RNZAF censor h/s (with signature); (b) similar, plain cover; (c) with m/s signature only (no h/s).
All with NZ receipt d/s Palmerston North: (a) 8 MY 43; (b), (c) 10 MY 43 (as per regulations). With write-ups by Startup, speculating the sender was a member of an advance party before a military PO was opened. Most unusual. Fair-good cond.

rubber RNZAF censor h/s (signed by censor). Two covers with NZ stamps. Condition fair-good to very fine. Sender's name, rank & serial No on flaps. Est at approx $5 each. Ex Startup.
