July 1852 usage of 1fr brown-carmine on folded entire from BAGNERES-DE-LUCHON, written in English to Captain David Anderson, 22nd Regiment, Rawal Pindee, Punjab, INDIA; with BOMBAY accounting mark; accompanied by a number of other usages on covers, cards and entires - mainly for inland delivery - and mainly 1850s-70s. (40+ items).

A group of 1860s-70s inland entires (10), plus various later stamps or philatelic souvenirs.

The 1937 PARIS EXPOSITION: A nice group comprising of 19 Miniature Sheets issued by French Colonies and Territories, together with an entry ticket to the Exhibition, a guide book titled "L'Aluminium a L'Exposition", a set of 12 real photographs in an aluminium-like package by H. Chipault, and a souvenir folder (with an aluminium cover) containing 20 perforated miniature photo-stamps in 4 strips of 5, each depicting a different view or pavilion at the Exposition. Lovely pieces.

NEW CALEDONIA: 1892 Commerce 40c red-orange with 'NLLE/CALEDONIE' diagonal overprint as Ceres #32 but IMPERFORATE (2mm closed tear at lower-right); also 1892-93 Surcharges 10c on 1fr green-olive as Ceres #39 but also IMPERFORATE; both with probable CTO cancels in grey-black. (2). The vendor advises that both stamps come from a collection formed in New Caledonia by a postal official.
