"THE LAST FLIGHT OF THE 'SOUTHERN CROSS'": 18 July 1935 (AAMC.514 & 515) comprising covers numbered '46', '49', and consecutively numbered '88' & '89', cover '46' with a IMPERFORATE SPECIAL VIGNETTE (rare on cover) and a personally written note from Ernie Crome on reverse, the others bearing a perforated vignette; all covers are signed by the seven personnel aboard this historic Mascot-Richmond short flight, namely pilots Charles Kingsford Smith and P.G. Taylor, plus Mary Kingsford Smith, John Stannage, Beau Shiel, John Ulm & C.G.Scrimgeour (radio broadcaster); also an unnumbered cover with perforated vignette and bold Kingsford Smith signature on the face.
