27 Sept.1920 (AAMC.51e, Frommer 4b) For the "Herald & Weekly Times" promotional flight from Melbourne to Longreach for "Pals" boy's magazine, 'Pals Air Mail' vignettes in red were prepared; a complete block of 4 with selvedge; extremely rare, with only 4 such blocks believed to exist.

2 Nov.1922 (AAMC.66a) Charleville - Longreach cover, addressed to Dr. F.A. Hope Michod, Deputy Chairman of Directors of the newly formed Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Ltd., carried on the first air mail delivery flight by QANTAS. Piloted over this sector by P.J. McGinness. A remarkably fine example of these rarities.

Dr. Hope Michod, one of the original financial backers of QANTAS, later became Chairman.

2 Nov.1922 (AAMC.66c) Winton - Longreach flown cover, carried on the first air mail delivery flights by QANTAS and self-addressed and signed by the pilot, Hudson Fysh. An exceptionally rare example of the covers flown without the red label. A few spots, as usual. Cat.$7500.
