2½d Deep Blue, block of 9 [2L43-45, 49-51, 55-57] with varieties "Retouch to first 'A' of 'AUSTRALIA'" [2L43] & "Heavy coastline to WA" [2L49 & L55], well-centred, MUH, BW:11A(2)d&l - Cat. $1200++.

July 1922 registered cover from GROSE VALE, N.S.W. to HOLLAND, with 2½d Indigo, 3d Olive (Die 2) and 6d Violet-Blue (Die 2B) tied by individual cds's; RICHMOND and REGISTERED backstamps.

2½d Deep Indigo, blk.(4) perforated Small OS; upper units MLH, lower units MUH. A scarce, well centred block. BW:Cat. $1500+.

3d Olive (Die IIB) blk.(4); MUH; upper right unit with tiny natural paper inclusion above last 'A' of 'AUSTRALIA'. Cat.$900.

April 1921 usage of 3d Yellow-Olive Die 2, on small taxed cover from BRISBANE to BASEL, SwitzerlandAlso with 60 CTMS Tax Marking, probaly due to weight. Cancelled by Brisbane machine cancel of 16.APR.21. BW: $550.

9d Pale Violet (Die 2B), superbly centred single with variety "Broken shading over second E of PENCE" [4L12]; MUH.

9d Violet: Three commercial covers, each bearing a single 9d: Aug.1919 on reg'd cover from Sandgate Qld to California (Cat.$600); Mar.1925 on reg'd cover from Albany W.A. to California (Cat.$600); and June 1929 on cover carried by Air from Adeaide to Perth, then by sea to Vienna, Austria (Die 2b - Cat $550). (3 covers). A most attractive trio.

£1 Grey, fresh MUH but centred left and with a short upper-left corner perf. BW: $3750.

£1 Grey, overprinted SPECIMEN Type C subtype 2 with shaved P (BW: 53xf), superbly centred and never hinged, not priced thus. Possibly the finest example extant.

£1 Grey, (2) overprinted SPECIMEN (Type C) well centred, and (Type D) centred left; mounted. Cat.$750.

6d Chestnut, well centred blk.(4), 3 MUH, 1 MLH.

9d Violet, Ash Imprint blk.(4) with Die II substituted unit at R49, MUH; light overall gum discolouration. BW: 28(4)z - $1500 but unpriced **.
