1067 cover   imageRailway Facing Slips, 1947/1969, collection of 60 mostly to Ontario destinations, with a few originating in Nova Scotia and none bearing R.P.O. cancellations, these slips having been attached to bundles of sorted mail for cancellation by the R.P.O. upon receipt and identifying the railway mail clerk, route and run before generally being discarded at destination, a particularly clean group with some privately purchased and hand-made markings not listed in the Gray catalogue, accompanied by 13 First Day Covers relating to Royal visits to Newfoundland in 1939 and Canada in 1973, all contents photographed online, an unusual grouping seldom encountered and overall very fine.
