All items franked with a single imperforate, except for at least three that have two, some items are annotated for particularities of the stamps, such as scratches, shades, plate numbers and other characteristics and others for the postmarks. 882 CVR Great Britain imageGroup of Roughly 500 Great Britain Covers, 1820s-1970s, filling a small box, with primarily commercial mail including stampless, postal stationery (used and unused), postcards, postage due, and a few first day covers. The lot includes 15 stampless covers, ranging from the 1820s to the 1840s, mostly posted within Great Britain with a few to North America, 75 Victorian stamped envelopes with a variety of rates including domestic, double rates, registration, and to foreign destinations (Canada, United States, France, Germany, Austria), and with a variety of postmarks including 5 imperforate Penny Reds with Maltese Cross Postmarks. The majority of material ranges from the 1930s onward, noting a variety of rates including airmail and registration, along with square circle postmarks, paquebot, censor markings, etc. Many of the covers are sleeved and the few that are priced for retail range between $5 and $20.
