This is a nice quality lot, with mostly all dated postmarks and a predominance of socked on the nose strikes, all on KGVI to QEII era stamps. 1216 O   imageLovely Old Time Collection, neatly mounted and described on 144 quadrille pages in a Uni-Safe binder. This collection has hundreds of stamps and on piece items which appear to be unpicked. Arranged alphabetically by province, with each town represented by one to up to 134 stamps (these Kingston) on various issues such as Small Queens, Leaf and Numerals, Jubilees and Maps. Unchecked in detail by us but a quick look reveals some better items such as Seelys Bay on 5c RLS (unlisted in handbook), Freeport (RF 70), Beeton Type I on 8c Leaf (RF 80), Grafton on 8c SQ (four copies (RF 45), Iroquois on 8c Leaf and 8c SQ, Waterloo nude strike on 1c Admiral, Windsor on ½c SQ block of six on piece, and many more interesting items. We have not looked at the dates or possible varieties, and generally fine or better strikes. Despite our many scans online, we recommend viewing to better appreciate this collection. 1217 O   imageAdvanced Lifetime Collection in Three Volumes, with about 1,400 stamps, including Types I and II, and arranged by province and by subject such as RPO, Errors, Misc and Precursors. Each stamp is identified on home made pages, and we note a range from Large Queen (15c) to Admiral, with numerous Small Queens (to the 10c value), Jubilees in quantity to the 5c, and Map stamps (about 120 stamps, with owner's detailed list of these). Too many interesting items to list here, but we have uploaded 24 pages online to give an idea. A quick look reveals amongst many others about 38 items with indicia errors (owner's list enclosed), some unlisted colour strikes, one Nassagaweya purple proof strike, etc. The collection also includes some multiples (pairs, strips, blocks of 4) and does not appear to have been picked. Quality of strikes is generally fine or better. A lovely collection worthy of a closer look. This Sabiston Litho. & Pub. Co. advertising cover is franked with a single 8c Small Queen, tied by a seemingly hand-made "R" handstamp (plus second free strike).
