1781 O/og/nh Iran imageMint and Used Collection in Two Albums, the first is a hingeless Farahbaksh album with 1965 to 1978 (cat $1,018), and a sampling would indicate its contents to be mint never hinged, with hardly any empty spaces in that period. The other album is a Lighthouse binder with slip case and computer generated pages, with mainly mint hinged stamps from 1979 to 2004 (cat $1,248), with very few empty spaces, then a group of mint never hinged up to 2009 in stock pages. This album also contains material from 1870 to 1926 were there are a few hundred stamps not counted in the total catalogue value, plus pages for 1927 to 1965 with a mixture of mint and used stamps (these catalogue $1,870). We have scanned 15 pages online, but viewing is recommended to better appreciate the quality and completeness of this collection. A rarely offered country, especially in this depth. 1783 O/og/nh Jamaica imageSpecialized Collection of War Tax Issues, all mounted on old time quadrille pages from two different collections, all bought at Harmers of NY in 1951 and left in the original envelope since then. An advanced collection, with mint and used (many never hinged), singles and blocks, plate blocks, etc. All issues are represented, with a multitude of overprint varieties, mostly described, and includes many of those listed in Scott plus some only listed in Stanley Gibbons. We note inverted, missing letters, letters replaced manually, slanted letters, missing periods (stops), very light or over-inked strikes, at least one double impression (Scott $140), letter variations, surface-coloured stamps (white back variety), and much more. A quick spot check revealed an SG 72c (£200) in a pair with normal, SG 68d (used £35), Scott MR6c ($225) in a pair and a number of varieties cataloguing in Scott in the $15 and $100. There are a few examples of a vertical slash in front of the word WAR or in between the words WAR and STAMP which are not listed. Many of the varieties are in pairs or larger multiples with normal stamps. There are a little over 400 stamps included. Because these were stored for so long, the colours are all quite bright and fresh. A nice collection with a high catalogue value.. 1784 O/og/nh Japan imageMint and Used Collection in Two Stockbooks, 1874 to 2001, plus a small collection of definitives on pages. The early issues include #40 (mint), 41 (used). etc. Lots of duplication in the 1913 to 1937 definitives and finds are possible as the dies were not measured (duplication tends to be no more than a dozen or so of each overall). We note many used blocks of four, post offices in China and Korea. The #179-187 is complete and several strips of 2 or more make the series more attractive. Lots of mint and used Parks issues, but no souvenir sheets. Lots of value in the prefecture issues and includes souvenir sheets, booklets, strips and more. One stockbook has hundreds of mint and used Prefecture issues, with many from the 1990s, etc. A nice and clean collection. (Scan a) (Scan b) (Scan c) (Scan d) (Scan e) (Scan f) (Scan g) (All Scans)
