78 CVR 24 image1868 2c green Large Queen, horizontal pair used on cover, very fine. The cover still contains a multi-page letter to Henry Morgan in Ottawa, being a biography of J.G. Robertson, a long time Mayor of Sherbrooke Qué. This was sent to Morgan as he was preparing the publication of the Who's Who of notable Canadians. Mailed from Montreal on JAN.14.1869, over-paying the 3c letter rate. Stains on back, else stamps are very fine with deep colour and catalogue value for stamps alone is $260, assuming regular paper.
