Beaver Pair on Cover, mailed Prescott U.C on MAY.7.1858 to Potsdam NY, through Ogdensburgh (MAY.8.1858 c.d.s. in red). This yellow cover is franked with a horizontal pair of the 3d red Beaver imperforate (cut along frameline at left only, rest
are clear to large margins) tied by a light 4-ring #35. These stamps are from plate positions 61 and 62 (pane B) and the left stamp shows a major re-entry. A lovely and very fine cover, with only a tiny tear at top and on backflap. Accompanied by a

re-entry from position 34 clearly showing strong doubling (with Georg Buhler handstamp on back and a small thin). Stamps appear to be all sound (except where noted) and all have four margins, close but clear on some sides. Also comes with a cover
mailed Brantford OCT.31.1857 to Toronto, 3-margin stamp is tied by a faint 4-ring #5 in blue. This folded cover (no contents) has two file folds and a scarce circular corner card handstamp from Edwin J.H. Pauley / Halifax N.S. Accompanied by a 2004
