Colonial Stamp Company Sale - 143

Summer 2026 - July 9, 2026

Welcome to Colonial Stamp Company's 144th consecutive British Colony Auction.  Enclosed for your philatelic enjoyment, is our current auction in which I am reasonably sure will yield a fair number of items which have "languished" on your personal wantlist for a while!  You can, as usual, mail, fax, call or email any bids, or you can wait and bid online at auction.colonialstamps.com.  Be sure to register if you have not yet done so.

Our current catalog includes the second portion of two Malaya State collections including several major five figure rarities!   Among the highlights of the auction are: Great Britain 1848 10d brown embossed, the 4d mint SC#22(SG 62a), 1882 £1 brown lilac.  South Australia Victorian £5 and £10 mint high values, Victoria SC#156a (SG306b) used (only 8 recorded!), Australia roos mint to £2 and, 20 shilling postage due (the key major number of the country).  Barbados mint SC#56a (SG82), Bechuanaland, the second rarest stamp of the colony SC#27 (SG23c) – missing in 99.9% of all collections.  Strong British Guiana early “ships” Nova Scotia 1 shilling imperf unused.  British Columbia & Vancouver Island, mint SC#3 (SG4) and others.  The Canada contains many exceptional quality classics.  Cape of Good Hope includes SC#39 (SG46), Falkland Islands with all the key later high values.  Gold Coast with one of the few known postally used £2, strong early Jordan overprints, a run of Madagascar counselor mails and great run of Penrhyn Island overprints as well as a fine range of Zanzibar provisionals which serves to round out the sale.
