The Boulder Collection of Colorado Postal History represents one of the most comprehensive and expansive collections ever formed of this particular subjects. From the early Pike's Peak Express Companies through administration as Kansas and Nebraska Territory, the Boulder Collection is simply unmatched. Several hundred lots of town postmarks, both from the territorial and statehood periods, include a large number of unique items. For a collector of Western postal history this is an exceptional opportunity to acquire rare material. A few particular highlights include:
  • One of just eight westbound covers carried by the Leavenworth City & Pike's Peak Express Co. (Lot 1)
  • The rare Coraville straightline handstamp on a strip of three 1857 1c stamps (Lot 25)
