 3/JA/1928 IQUITOS - Lima, first flight, cover front carried on a seaplane piloted by H. Grow between Iquitos and Masisea, there the mail was transferred to the airplane piloted by Left. L. Alvariño who carried it to San Ramón, then by
road to La Oroya and from there by train to Lima. The postage is correct, 12c. + 1P. airmail fee (pair of Yvert 1 "Marinerito", types 5 + 1), the mark "Servicio Aéreo" was always applied in red on covers that were dispatched from Iquitos. We also
include 2 newspaper clippings from that time about the inauguration of the service and rates, very good lot! (Image)
