63   imageExcise Revenue; Cinema tickets.  C.1946 Cinema or Theatre tickets unused, stapled together in part pads.  Bistre ½d Tax for 8½d admission (36), maroon ½d tax for 11½d admission (52 in two part pads), and buff 2½d tax on 1/3½d admission (67 tickets in two part pads).  The tickets (and the excise stamp) were torn in half on purchase.  Very rare survivors (Image)

66   imageHealth and Pensions Insurance.  C1938 new stamps (24), all Specimens, values from 4d to 21/8d, affixed to a piece of paper on the inside of a worn heavy board folder, presumably used for day-to-day reference in a working office.  The annotations as to who pay each rate are remarkably complicated, making clear the necessity for such a reference in an office.  Nine of the stamps are for multiple contributions.  There are two 4ds, one of which is unlisted, this in bright purple and green.  There is soiling and a few stamps are damaged.  Original page with rates from July 1940 - Dec. 41 and the Jan. 42 increases included. The stamps for the original 1925 issue are annotated with the class of contributor, two later issues are for multiple contributions (11/11d, 13 at 11d, and 19/6d, 13 at 1/6d).
