939   imagePostmarks.  A large and exceptional collection of postmarks (thousands) in blue stockbook, with many additional pages and cards added.  Obviously the fruits of years of patiently picking up all the non-standard cancels encountered, with heavy duplication in places; to use Argy as an example, there are 78 stamps, of which only four are post-KGV.  There is special emphasis on the attractive little ‘thimble’ types from about 1900-1911.  Just sorting this extraordinary accumulation properly would be a major undertaking.  Arranged with the killers and numerals first, then alphabetical, with Railways/ Pillar Boxes/ Carriers at the back.  An opportunity which will not be repeated (Image)
