Each sheet dated 22nd April 1903. The proposed values written alongside each stamp, the 5ct, 25ct and 75ct correctly denominated, the balance being 75ct denominations. A lovely pair of sheets and important exhibition items. For T150-164 The 5ct and 25ct differed from the other values in that the 5ct value is in colour on a white ground, whereas the other values are in white on coloured grounds: the 25ct was printed from a special 80-set plate (Image)

358 T151-64 image1903 De La Rue Specimen File copies. The 10ct to 50r (fourteen) in issued colours, overprinted SPECIMEN Type D9, each on a piece of card and mounted on a large album page. The 10ct, 20ct, 40ct, 60ct and 75ct each have the Specimen overprint in violet at the top and bottom of the stamp, the remainder in black on the top half only. Slight soiling in places but a splendid and unique set, the top three values not recorded by the Vendor in unused condition. Illustrated in the De La Rue Collection, page 2555. As with the other items from this issue from the De La Rue Archives, this group has never been offered on the open market (Image)
