566 PC   image1913 RPPC Mailed Aboard the "E OF T & P.R. R.P.O." a very fine free strike (dated MAY.25.1913) of this scarce End of Track RPO on a 1c Admiral postcard to Vernon BC. The postcard (published in Hazelton B.C.) has a real photo of two gentlemen, and there is an accompanying note with each person's bio. The message simply reads "One Hundred and Eighty". (light c.d.s. receiver picture side) with a boxed "Government Agent's Office / Received / SEP 11 1913 / Alberni, B.C." in purple. Also in purple is the hand-made postmark cancelling the 1c Admiral stamp which appears to read "C x V" (Calgary and Vancouver?). Photo side shows a dock at Port Alberni, Vancouver Island. 571 CVR   image1875 "Intercolonial Railway / St John & Amherst" East and West Postmarks on Cover, a 3c Small Queen (perforated 11½ x 12) cover mailed on MAR.12.1875 to River Side Nova Scotia, with a MAR.12 St John broken circle on back. Interestingly, there are two strikes of the RPO, one with EAST and one with WEST (crossed-out and replaced by a manuscript "East"), each next to a "MISSENT TO" handstamp. Crease and opening tears, else an interesting cover which is on the market for the first time (from an old family correspondence). Gray # MT-278, with a rarity factor of F.
