90 CVR   image1838 Peterboro U.C Double Circle on Folded Letter to Scotland, Re-Directed to England, the long three page letter inside is datelined “Harvey” and was mailed at Peterboro on MAR.1.1838 (italics double circle) to Edinburgh Scotland, then re-directed to London England, with a "Kingston / Up Canada” transit in red, a red “NEW YORK PAID / MAR.12” transit, a boxed “LIVERPOOL / SHIP LETTER” handstamp on back, etc. Very fine and well written up on a page also explaining the rates. 91 CVR   image1798 and 1800 Folded Letter from Québec City to Scotland, a long legal letter (power of attorney, etc.) is dated OCT.28.1798 (part one) and AUG.15.1800 (part two, both datelined inside) to Caintown, Scotland, with "Rec'd 1 August 1800" docketing (in two places). There is also a partial crowned double oval "Ship Letter / Greenock" (?) as well as a bright red "JY / 19" in circle Edinburgh Bishop handstamp. Appears to have a 2/3 rate crossed-out and replaced with a manuscript 3/6 rate. Edge wear, else and interesting early cover.

92 CVR   image1823 Folded Letter from Montréal to the Isle of Man, a two page letter mailed from Montréal on JUN.30.1823 (dateline inside) to Douglas, Isle of Man with "Ship Letter / Greenock" handstamp alongside "Glasgow / 405 G / 20 / AUG / 1823" and rated 2/2 (for Greenock to destination) and 1/2 (added on at Glasgow for Scottish road toll). 93 CVR 4 image1854 3d Beaver Imperforate on RPO Cover, mailed on board the “O. S. & H. R. R. / POST OFFICE” on NOV.29.1854 (very fine free strike of a circular datestamp in red, Gray #RY-130, RF “F”) to His Honour Judge Gowan at Ardraven in Barrie (partial receiver on back). Franked with a 3d red Beaver imperforate (with only one large margin at right) tied with a large “3” rate handstamp (scarce thus). Missing backflap, still a nice example of this very scarce RPO cancel. A quick AI search on Judge Gowan gave “In 1843, at just 27 years old, Gowan (1815-1909) was appointed judge of the newly created Simcoe District, making him the youngest judge ever commissioned in the British Empire at that time. He served as the county court judge for Simcoe from 1843 until 1883. He died at his home “Ardraven” in Barrie". Ex “Brouse find”.
