Extensive Old Time Collection of Mint French Colonies Airmail Issues, to the 1940s, mounted on 120 quadrille pages, with a great variety of different countries, as well as many hundreds of lovely singles and sets. Many stamps have protective glassine backing, which can easily be peeled off, leaving a light gum glazing. We noted many sets cataloguing in the $50 to $100 range, and we catalogued only the imperforate issues, which came to €1,448 alone (for hinged) in the Yvert & Tellier specialized colonies catalogue. Extensive Collection of Mint French Colonies in Three Stockbooks, the great majority of which is mint never hinged, with very few that are lightly hinged. The collection fills the equivalent of 49 stock pages with complete sets, part sets, singles, common design issues, etc. One page is populated with 47 19th Century issues, which appear to be all NH (scarce thus). Collection of Mint and Used Germany and Area, to the 1960s, a binder contains an old time duplicated collection mounted on about 75 quadrille pages with Germany from the 1870s to 1950s, with a mix of mint and used singles and sets, including back of the book. Also saw some Moravia & Bohemia, East Germany, and more, including over 75 commercial and FD covers (all stapled to the pages). A 14-page stockbook is filled with mint never hinged blocks of four of German stamps from the 1960s, and also includes an envelope of odds and ends including a Hitler souvenir sheet, a glassine full of semi-postal War time never hinged sets, and more. Old Time Holding of Mostly Queen Victoria to King George V Issues, all in a stockbook plus two collections on pages. The stockbook contains a mostly jumbled mix of material, with many valuable items such as a page containing early QV items including a nice embossed 6d stamp, etc. Also saw the 2sh6d QV issues (x9 used, several with nice postmarks), the 5sh QV (x2), a page of Officials and QV stamps postmarked or overprinted for use elsewhere, a page containing 4 pieces with QV stamps postmarked in 1899 "F.P.O. British Army Africa", 2 pages of mint and used early Postage Dues, as well as numerous other QV to KGV duplicated material. A high catalogue value in this stockbook. Also two very old collections that have been picked but still contain useful material, mostly QV to KGV, noting several imperforate Penny Reds, a plating exercise for the perforated Penny Red issue (missing 175 and 225) and much more. Quality varies drastically (especially in one of the old collections) still a great number of sound, useful and valuable stamps throughout. Collection / Accumulation of Queen Elizabeth II Definitive Issues, in stock pages in a binder and on album pages. In the binder we note a page of mint Castles (a selection from all three printings, Scott c.v. about $458), followed by a collection of mint QEII Wilding issues filling three pages, with phosphor, complete sets, etc. the rest being 14 pages crammed with a holding of mint Machin issues, mostly in blocks of four, including a page full of "large format" high values, a block of 4 of the £10 value, etc. Also note an envelope containing over a dozen glassines full of more mint Machins and Wildings. Collection of Used Great Britain, KGV to the 1990s, neatly displayed on quadrille pages filling two S.G. Springback albums. King George V (incl. some Seahorses) issues fill 12 pages with shades, different printings, etc. KGVI is just as extensive and mostly complete, as well as QEII issues to the end and includes all the Castles, several souvenir sheets or se-tenant blocks, but no Machins. A very clean collection, with mostly choice cancels and good quality throughout. The lot is accompanied by mint and used filling dozens of glassines, a small stockbook and a stock page, noting several high denomination KGVI issues to the £ (mint, Scott c.v. $467 alone) as well as many KGV and KEVII issues with some watermark varieties, shades, etc. Well worth a close look as there should be good value in there. Includes the first and second QEII sets (mint), first Castles set (used), 1958 Wilding set (used), and starts to be close to complete (mix of mint and used) from the late 1960s to the end. Collection of Mint and Used Great Britain, 1840 to 1951, all displayed in a Lindner album, starting with used only up to 1880, with a #1 (3 margins), Penny reds and blues, #5, 7b, an incomplete 1841 Penny Red plate reconstruction (A to T) with 49 imperforate stamps, #s 8-11, 14, 16-18, 20-22, then we start to see a good showing of different plates of #s 29 (x4), 30 (x3), 32 (x2), 43 (x7), 49 (x7), 50 (x3), 54 (x3), 58 (x13), 59 (x2), 60 (x7), 62 (x4), 64 (x6), 66/67 (x15), 68 (x4) and so on with many others. There is also a plate # study of perforated 1p reds with 127 different plates (up to 216). From about the 1920s to the end we see a good representation of issues with a mix of mint and used. There are no £1 values before 1940, but a QV set and a KEVII set each go to the 5sh. We also note the presence of 4 pages full of George VI Coronation cinderellas (83 diff. stamps) and an 1890 Uniform Penny Postage cover with South Kensington Crown postmark. All in all a nice collection with loads of useful and valuable material, overall fine to very fine. our many pictures show a small sampling only. Small Group of Interesting Used Hong Kong, looks unassuming at first, but the collector has sorted-out 18 glassines for different town postmarks (each containing a half dozen or more QV to QEII stamps), plus one glassine of GB overprinted CHINA and one that contains a 4c KEVII with a notation "Fouchow, rare Type G". There are also three stock cards containing 46 stamps (QV to KGV) some with better town cancels or higher values such as Scott 52, 55, etc. A useful lot for the specialist, with some small faults here and there, still overall fine. Collection of Mint Iceland in Two Lighthouse Hingeless Albums, 1902 to 2023, complete from 1935 (Scott #193) to 2023 (#1531) including back of the book and all souvenir sheets. From 1902 to 1935 the collection has #s 34-44B ($299), 99-107 ($408), 152-166 ($372), B1-4 ($14), C1-2 ($60), C3 ($52), C4-8 ($246), C9-11 ($179), C15-20 (with a few perf varieties, $213) and CO1 ($25). Up to about 1960 there is a mix of lightly hinged and never hinged, and from 1960 to the end it is assumed everything is never hinged (spot checked a large sampling). We counted the catalogue value up to 1970 only, which comes to U$3,775 plus there is a very good additional value from 1971 to the end. Excellent and fresh condition throughout, generally fine to very fine and not often offered, especially so complete. Stockbook of Interesting India, with 19 pages of mint and used material, noting interesting such as a half page of mint KGV issues with "1/4" surcharges, including a few that are misplaced, second half of the page has C.E.F. overprints on used issues, then a selection of mint "Map of India" coil strips of 4 as well as other early mint India issues, including some inverted watermarks. Next page starts with a group of T.P.O. letters in grid cancels followed by squared circles and other postmarks, plus a group of KGVI mint blocks of four. There are also 6 pages of specialized "Refugee Relief" overprinted issues, with many overprint varieties (inverted, double, different types, colours, etc.). Stockbook Full of Interesting Mint and Used India Issues, a good variety of material which includes 11 stamps overprinted POSTAL SERVICE, several KGV booklet panes or tête-bêche multiples, a print of a full sheet of the first India East Company issue of 1854, die sunk on card (plate II), a good number of mint QV, KEVII, KGV and KGVI issues, including high values, a block of 8 of what appears to be an essay or proof of Scott #26 in claret, a mint margin block of 4 of Scott O76b (double overprint) as well as lots more, including pages of used issues many with postmark interest.
