LotNo. Symbol Cat No. Lot Description
821 PC   imageExtensive Collection of Duplex Postmarks on 570 Admiral Era Picture Postcards, all neatly displayed in double-sided clear postcard pages in 4 binders. All the cards are franked with Admiral stamps, either one 1c green, two 1c greens or one 2c carmine, and the great majority (well over 95%) have duplex cancels (mostly B11 and A9 types) from all over the country, with many from Manitoba, Alberta and Saskatchewan, unchecked by us for ERD or LRD, but we can assume there to be some, given the quantity and the fact these were probably collected for the "other side". The picture sides depict a wide variety of material, such as real photos, town views, patriotic, Christmas, Easter, humorous, ships, and much more. Condition is generally very nice, see our online pictures for a representative sampling of both sides. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (Scan 4) (Scan 5) (Scan 6) (Scan 7) (All Scans)
