421 O/og/nh   imageGroup of Old Time Worldwide Stamp Albums, with thousands of mint and used stamps, including a few never hinged. For the most part the stamps go from Classics to about the 1950s with additional stamps tucked in here and there to about the 1970s. We noted numerous higher cataloguing stamps from the United States and Great Britain with some better stamps from Denmark, France, Japan, Austria plus many others, with strength in Europe. There are 14 albums in all in this group, condition of albums and stamps can vary. 422 O/og/nh   imageCollection / Accumulation of Worldwide Mint and Used Stamps, 1900s-1980s, with many thousands of stamps in 6 stockbooks. A spot check revealed better representation from European countries including Belgium, Hungary, Russia, just to name a few, with used material up to the 1950s and a mixture of mint and used (incl. CTO) thereafter, noting singles, blocks, and souvenir sheets, with catalogue values ranging from $5 to $10 for some sets and souvenir sheets. One stockbook contains a collection of many hundreds of postmarks of QV to KGVI issues (squared circles, town postmarks, numeral duplex, etc.). A nice opportunity for thematic and topical collectors with photos showing a small sampling. Very fine. 423 O/og/nh   imageRemainder Lot of Primarily Mint Never Hinged Collections, with roughly 1,200 stamps, neatly organized in three binders, a stockbook, and loose stock cards. Begins with several stock cards of primarily mint and never hinged sets with representation from: Sudan (247 stamps), ranging from 1897 to 1965; Maldives Islands (147 stamps), ranging from 1909 to 1965; Faroe Islands (145 stamps), ranging from 1975 to 1988, along with representation from Antigua and Tuvalu, among others. A cursory check indicated stamps and sets cataloguing $20 and up. The lot continues with a mint never hinged collections of Kiribati and Tuvalu, in two binders, mounted on roughly 125 album pages, ranging from 1976-1989, noting gutter pairs, souvenir sheets, booklets, specimens, etc. Saw lots of material cataloguing from $5 to $20. The lot concludes with a stock book of roughly 200 stamps of classic Venezuela and Uruguay. Our photos show a small representative sampling. A clean lot, overall fine to very fine. 424 O/og/nh   imageLarge Collection / Stock Filling an Old Time 40-Page Stockbook, with thousands of stamps from all over the world, sorted by country, this lot is as received so finds are possible, as a quick glance revealed lots of early material. Pictures show an overview of a few random pages, just to give an idea. Should easily be worth our low estimate of $5 per page. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (Scan 4) (Scan 5) (Scan 6) (All Images)

425 O/og/nh   imageSelection of Interesting Material from Various Countries, starts off with a stockbook of pre-1949 China (roughly 250 mint / used stamps), a used Peru collection filling a double-sided stock page (Scott # 12/604 + bob), Germany B92 souvenir sheet (used, U$67), 6 bundles of ~100 each early GB (S.G. #s 174/231, £2,140 as least expensive), a scarce 1929 Sweden presentation book from the 9th U.P.U. Congress meeting in London (containing coil strips of 3, blocks, stationery cards), a card with GB used in Tripolitania #s 1-26 (mint hinged), a Faroe Island folder containing artist signed pre-production material for their Rowing Boat set, a group of 102 cards containing fakes, forgeries, repairs etc., another group of 102 cards containing overprint shifts, essays, imperforates, etc. plus various other material (see photos) including a collection of vintage Peruvian chocolate cards depicting stamps (mounted on 26 pages). An interesting offering, as received. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (Scan 4) (Scan 5) (Scan 6) (Scan 7) (Scan 8) (Scan 9) (Scan 10) (Scan 11) (Scan 12) (Scan 13) (Scan 14) (Scan 15) (All Images)

426 O/og/nh   imageImpressive Worldwide Collection in 38 Thick Scott International Albums, Classics to 1990s, mostly used. Some highlights include, U.S.A. Scott # 239 (used, U$90), Australia 144 (mint, U$52), Great Britain 86 (used, U$92), 98 (used, U$185), 99 (used, U$52), 100 (used, U$92), 102 (used, U$115), 120 (used, U$56), 136 (used, U$75), 139 (used, U$150), 140 (used, U$220), 180 (used, U$145), Hong Kong 178-79 (mint, U$225), Iceland 17 (used, U$50), Monaco 6 (used, U$75) and Norway 17b (used, U$75). We also noted many singles and sets in the $10 to $35 of catalogue value. This collection has a better presence in the early period, for most countries and we note that some of the pages are sometimes out of order. This is not a comprehensive collection in terms of having pages for all the countries in period, while a number of countries have duplicated pages, with these often rather full of potential shades and other varieties for study, etc. The majority of the pages have the owner's pencilled-in catalogue values with totals at the bottom of the pages, with many of the pages totaling between $20 and $80. The albums show some wear, however the collection within them is clean. The condition of the stamps is a little mixed among the classics, still an overall fine to very fine collection that would be ideal for the world collector or online reseller. Should easily be worth our C$65 per album estimate. Our pictures only show a tiny representative glimpse into this huge collection. 428 PC   imageCollection of "The Language of Stamps", with 54 postcards (mostly 1910s and 20s) on 20 stock pages, showing examples of how a stamp is placed on a cover or postcard can have a meaning (includes a few explanations of those meanings). Some of the postcards have been mailed with differently placed stamps, but most are cards depicting the "language of stamps" on the picture side. Also includes 4 cards that were mailed with tiny messages written entirely under their (now removed) stamp. Overall fine to very fine and a great opportunity to start or expand on this interesting topic. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (Scan 3) (Scan 4) (Scan 5) (Scan 6) (Scan 7) (All Images)
