407 og/nh 52/104, etc. imageAdvanced Collection of Mint Swedish Issues of 1891 to 1920, all neatly presented on 32 Lighthouse quadrille pages, with each item identified per Facit specialized catalogue. The collection starts with a specialized study of the 1891-194King Oscar II issues, with shades, blocks of four, etc., then a General Post Office hinged single (#66, U$240), then we have a study of the 1910-14 Gustaf V and Arms issues, again with shades, blocks and strips, etc., some Parcel Post blocks of four, a set of the 1918 surcharges, a Semi-Postal and some 192 Airmail issues. A large sampling revealed most stamps to be never hinged, with some hinged only here and there. All pages have been scanned should easily be worth our low estimate of $10 per page. 408 og/nh 139/357 imageAdvanced Collection of Mint Sweden Issues from 1920 to 1945, neatly displayed on 96 Lighthouse quadrille pages, identified by owner by Facit Specialized catalogue numbers. Apart from the regular issues of the period, the collection includes coil pairs and strips, booklet pane singles and pairs (with three sides perforated), a few shades and other varieties listed in Facit. The great majority of the stamps are fresh and never hinged, except for perhaps 3 or 4 stamps. Our conservative Scott catalogue value was calculated for Scott-listed issues only, with a pro-rated premium added for never hinged and no premium added for Facit-listed varieties. A solid collection for the specialist, see our scans for a small sampling. LotNo. Symbol Cat No. Lot Description
409 O/og/nh   imageTwo Dealer Counter Books of Mint and Used Switzerland, one contains 262 semi-postals and a few airmails, with many complete sets and the occasional light duplication (this book alone catalogues about U$434). The second book contains hundreds of early regular issues, including Postage Dues, Officials, etc. Given the complexity of these early issues we made no attempt to calculate an overall catalogue value, but did notice individual stamps with values in the U$10 to U$20 range. Obviously useful lot for dealers, but also for collectors with the patience to sort through the various papers, perfs, shades etc. Pictures show a small sampling only. 411 og 12 image1856 5c Red Brown Jefferson Imperforate, Type I, mint with what appears to be full original gum. The stamp is cut irregularly, with full margins on three sides (showing parts of next stamps at right and bottom) and touching design at left. There is a small stain below "CENTS", else a fine impression with deep colour. A very rare stamp in mint condition, which we are selling as is, as if it is actually mint with og, catalogue value would be U$30,000. (Scan 1) (Scan 2) (All Images)

412 O/og   imageCollection of Mostly Used United States, 1851-1962, in two albums (one for definitives plus back of the book, and one for commemoratives). The definitives are sparse in the early period, starting to show a better representation in the 1870s, with many complete sets, coils, Airmail and Special Delivery, etc. The commemorative collection starts off strong with the 1893 Columbian issues to the 50c (used, U$452), 1898 Trans-Mississippi to the 50c (used, U$317), complete 1901 Pan-American (used, U$119), then mostly complete to the end. Most of the collection is used, with mint here and there, notably in the 1935 National Parks issues, with imperforates, sheetlets, etc. We note a few faulty stamps in the early period (defsinitives) else an overall fine to very fine collection. See pictures to get a small taste. 413 O/og/nh   imageCollection of Mint and Used United States, neatly mounted on quadrille pages in two Stanley Gibbons springback albums plus a stockbook. Most of the items are presented in both mint and used (side by side) condition. Appears very close to complete (mint plus used) from 1949 to the mid-1970s, then to a lesser degree up to 1987. The stockbook contains a few hundred mostly used issues from the 1920s to 1990s, including many mint or used blocks of four. The mint stamps above 20c have a face value of about U$55 (includes some Forever stamps in sheets, etc.). Last but not least is a set of 4 diff. American Bicentennial souvenir sheets, one of which has three of its stamps (1688a-c) with "USA 24c" printed offset (USA completely outside and 24c inside).
