Lambert/Falkland Islands Forces/F.I.” but undelivered, showing boxed “BELIEVED RETURNED TO/UNITED KINGDOM. PRESENT/ADDRESS UNKNOWN. RETURN/TO SENDER” in violet and dumb barred “ARMY/POST OFFICE” oval, unusual. On May 22 1945 the SS “Highland Princess” had arrived to return all of 132 Force to the UK and this cover would have arrived on the “Fitzroy” on May. 24. A near miss. Photo. (Image1)
