Eighteen armed members of the ‘Condor’ group had hijacked the Aerolineas Argentinas D.C.4 and had landed on Stanley Racecourse with hostages. With copy of explanatory letter from G.P.O. Stanley. On Oct. 14 1976 the De-Havilland-3 Beaver aircraft VP-FAK capsized on landing in Mare Harbour, the pilot, Ian Campbell, being drowned but mail salvaged and datestamped, ms. endorsement at foot.
