806 imagePortugal. Centenary of India Sc Republic. Letter dispatched from Lisbon on November 23, 1911, to Certã. The postage of 25 reis, made with a Centenary stamp, s/c Republic, was complemented with a 20 reis postage due stamp, s/ republic, serving as a postal stamp. , invalidated by the Lisbon post office, with the same date of November 23. We admit as a possible interpretation for this postage, having been initially franked at 20 reis, missing 5 reis to complete the postage, which was done (by mistake?) with a 25 reis stamp. Arrived at its destination on November 24.(Image 1) (Image 2)

From Germany, it went to Brazil, to Nepomuceno, in Mato Grosso, where a 100 reis stamp was added, postmark of May 4. It was re-dispatched to Australia, Malvern, Melbourne, postage with 2 stamps (1 ½ and 1d), on June 26. From Australia, it was directed to Sr Candido Madeira, in Porto. At the post office, by mistake it was sent to Funchal, where it arrived on August 1, from where, recognizing the error, it was re-dispatched to Porto, where it was franked with 2 centavos Ceres, and again re-directed to Shanghai, where it arrived on September 8, 1913. To continue its journey, it was franked with a 3 cents stamp from the Imperial Mail and sent back to its destination in Germany. The Ceres stamp was unglued and placed with a hinge, to allow seeing the arrival dates at Funchal. MR.(Image 1) (Image 2)
