Ultramarine First Period (four stamps, one unused), subs Ayotla (with pre-printing paper crease), Tlayacapan and Amecameca (tiny thin at right); 1r. Blue 4th Period #195-1865, with one margin touching at right (Amecameca) and 4r. Green First Period cancelled Morelos (Cuautla), close to fine margins except for a small nick in lower left corner, vivid color with bold circular cancel, small corner crease. The stamps are fresh and with three-four margins. The 4r. is very rare, as only 124 were issued; just 50 stamps were issued in Ayotla, 100 stamps in Tlayacapan and 200 in Amecameca. Scott 21, 22, 24; NF $1,162.,

136 imageMexico. 1864 "Eagles" Issue. Chihuahua 2r. Yellow, 4th Period, consignment 169-1865, an outstanding and pristine block of 25, overprinted Chihuahua, never hinged. Pietsch records that one or two sheets with this overprint were taken during the French evacuation before Republicans took control of the city, with this most likely being the largest or one of the largest multiples extant. Signed Bash (J.K.B.), 2024 MEPSI certificate. Scott 23; NF $300 as one single off-cover used.

Only five stamps have minor thin spots, which is considered a small number given the size of the multiple and should be regarded as in very good condition. Very scarce.
