Various Districts Balance of a powerful collection comprising 172 stamps, mostly used, eight attractive covers, and two cover fronts in a stockbook arranged by district, including Aguascalientes, Campeche, Córdova, Guaymas, Isla del Carmen, Mazatlán (with unusual three-color piece), Maravatío, Victoria, and Tula, among others. All denominations and periods represented, including one 3c.. (with faults), 24 ½r. (two brown, one with tear but rare), ten 4r. and four 8r. Many suboffices and small towns represented, including Paso del Macho, Guaymas, Hermosillo, Silao, Pénjamo, Piedra Gorda, Irapuato, Altotonga, Papantla, Teocaltiche, Lagos, Encarnación, Pátzcuaro, Huajuapan, Tehuantepec, Tlaxiaco, Nochistlán, San Felipe, Celaya, Iturbide, San Juan del Río, Matehuala, Salinas, Tula, Venado, Río Verde, Tejupilco, Temascaltepec, Tlalpujahua, Sultepec, Alvarado, and Ojo Caliente. Condition is very good, with mostly three/four-margin stamps and vibrant colors. Highlights include 2r. Toluca quadrille proof, Colima 1r. used block of 4r. (NF $250). 210 Used imageMexico. 1864 "Eagles" Issue. Various Districts ½r. to 8r., an assembly comprising 157 stamps from all five periods, accompanied by 11 covers. The off-cover stamps include representations from 21 districts: Aguascalientes, Apam, Campeche, Chalco, Colima, Durango, Lagos, Mazatlán, Maravatío, Mérida, Monterrey, Oaxaca, Orizaba, Pachuca, Soyaniquilpan, Tampico, Saltillo, Tulancingo, Tlalpujahua, Toluca, and Tula. The covers originate from Durango, Pachuca, Tampico, Aguascalientes, Colima, Nazas, Monterrey and Campeche (this being faulty but scarce). Notable highlights include rare unoverprinted examples: ½r. Brown (2), 1r. Ultramarine, 4r. Green, and 8r. Red (NF 17A, 18A, 20A, and 21A), which are not the later reprints that differ in size from the standard stamps. Also featured are a set of 1890s "essays" and a printing anomaly. The overall condition is excellent, with margins frequently clear all around or on three sides, albeit with some scattered faults. 211 Used imageMexico. 1864 "Eagles" Issue. Various Districts Collection of 1r. Blue and 2r. Yellow 5th Period Eagles (1866) by consignment number. Excellent assembly of 362 stamps (144 of 1r. and 218 of 2r.) in a stockbook, very well arranged by consignment and subconsignment numbers, with images of the cancellations from each town. 142 stamps are from suboffices, 35 of which received 100 or fewer stamps. Most districts are represented, including the elusive Apam, Mérida, Campeche, Toluca, Lagos, Córdova, and Pachuca. Suboffices include Carro, Chietla, Venado, San Felipe, Matehuala, Fresnillo, Aguascalientes, San Juan, Tehuantepec, Teocuicatlan, Tlaxcala, Iturbide, Valle de Santiago, Silao, Celaya, Zapotlán, Mascota, San Luis de la Paz, Moctezuma, and Uruapan, among others.
