1847-54 10d brown, die 3, a magnificent mint block of eight from the top of the sheet, wonderfully fresh showing deep and bright colour and superb embossing, large to enormous margins all around (just clear in two places at foot), full
original gum and only hinged at the top leaving all the stamps mint n.h., light central vertical crease just touching one stamp, one or two mild tone spots only visible from the reverse, an immensely rare multiple and a stunning exhibition showpiece.
