 1873-80 Spray 1s green "abnormal" pl. 14 TA lower left corner marginal imprimatur with part inscription, most attractive, only three examples of the used stamp are available to collectors, and none mint, an important position piece of an
important stamp, the rarest of the recorded abnormals (S.G. Spec. J114, £25'000).
Note: This is the only QV double-abnormal, being unissued both in this colour and with this watermark. The imprimatur ‘TA’ is the position that should have had the plate number in the margin, sadly it has been removed but the only other example is in
the Royal Philatelic Collection (Image 1)
