350   imageBRADBURY WILKINSON - INTERESTING COVER TO BRAZIL: 13 June 1930 large env. (229x110mm) from London franked 2/6d pale brown + 5x8d orange + 2½d blue paying the 3/8½d rate for air fee (3/6d per ½oz) and UPU 20g surface rate (2½d). Carried by Aeropostale from Toulouse on 15 June flight. The Farman F70-AIND was forced to land near Cape Juby, South Morocco. It was recovered the following day and the crew & mail were able to continue the journey to Dakar before tranferring to the Express boat to Natal, Brazil; then by plane to Rio de Janeiro & San Paulo. A rare survivor. (Image)
