903   image1801-59 COVER GROUP INC. GRENADA: Includes 1801 (16 Aug.) EL from Kingston to Aberdeen, rated 4/8d. Originally endorsed "P. Duke of York", but this ship had been captured by a privateer, so re-endorsed "Penelope". Cover bears a rd Bishop mark and s/l "MONTROSE" mark; Dec. 1845 EL from St. James, Jamaica to Pisa (unusual destination) with French transit mark and Livorno Mar. 1846 arrival mark. Also 1859 wrapper from Kingston to London franked 6d lilac with "A01" cancel (SG Z5). Also 1857 wrapper (some flap damage) Grenada to London franked 6d lilac with indistinct "A15"? cancel. 905   image1860-1901 QV SPECIALISED MINT & USED COLLECTION WITH MUCH POSTMARK INTEREST: Written-up and identified (most appear to be correct) on leaves inc. 1860-70 used range of all values & most of the shades with duplication & a few faults, 1870-83 mint range with ½d claret, ½d deep claret (2), 1d deep blue, 6d mauve, 1/- dull brown & perf. 12½ 2/- venetian red & 5/- lilac; 1883-97 again mint ½d (3, two shades), 2d slate, 3d (2 shades inc. pale olive green), the 4d & 6d (2 shades of each), 1/-, 2/- & 5/-, 1889-91 1d (5, inc. block of 4), 2d (2, both SG 28a) & 2½d all m, 1890-91 2½d on 4d with both m & u examples of basic stamp & variety 'PFNNY' for 'PENNY' plus two used examples of variety 'broken K for Y' plus 1890-99 Officials mint set of three. There then follows a fairly large collection of the previous issues from 1870 with a wide variety of postmarks arranged by issue with the postmarks identified at the base of each stamp.
