PC cancelled by the "Vulcanus" cancelling machine which burned a postmark - only lasted for 45 days!; v. rare 1910 part 5pf p.stat. env. carried by balloon over the town of Springe in Brunswick (only 11 items recorded) subsequently eaten by mice when the mail was dropped into a barley field and lost for 2 months!; 1924 cloth postal tag addressed to London with Registration etiquette for "Stockholm-Postcongressen/Congres Postal Universal" attached to a corresponding postal label joined together with corresponding lead seal; 1894 env. posted in Tunis franked 10c + strip of 5 x 1c perfin "T" with v. large holes for use as p.dues; also 4 Herst's moving comic PPCs, 4 wrappers sent to Lloyd's of London ex Austria (1, 1897) & Japan (3, 1895-1905), and an 11 page display on mounting stamps demonstrating different methods. Wilkinson (master of the ship); 2 July 1945 env. sent via British Airmail service from Stornoway to Glasgow (a one-way service) with onward transmission to Waterloo Station with "SCOTTISH AIRWAYS/LIMITED/AIR/LETTER/SERVICE" cachets (2 - one cancelling stamp & another at bottom left); 1 Feb. 1947 commercial env. sent via British European Airways from Stornoway to Glasgow for onward transmission to London, with "SCOTTISH AIRWAYS/LIMITED/AIR/LETTER/SERVICE" cachets (2) overstamped with ""BRITISH EUROPEAN AIRWAYS" cachets; and other similar examples. 1597   imageKGVI AIR CRASH MAIL: Scarce 1938-53 group of covers inc. 7 Feb. 1938 env. to Tunisia ex GB franked ½d + two other missing adhesives, with "ACCIDENT D'AVION/Correspondances recueilliesealler/NE PAS TAXER" hs at bottom.
