The 1831-33 Crocker Period group (8) incs. 4 with "To Pay..." in ink/pencil beside the final charges (inc. the extra 2d). Other marks inc. 1832 fine red Sheffield boxed "TOO/LATE", fine red 1833 "ROCHDALE/Penny Post" with purple ms "Misdirected to Penistone", mainly fine 1833 boxed "Staley Bridge/Penny Post". The 1833-39 Gilbanks Period (11) has mainly fine Penny Posts of BRISTOL (dated) or HOLMFIRTH. The 1839-49 Lister Period (12) has a very fine boxed July 1839 "Mottram/P.P.", an unusual May 1839 1d-rate (!) from Barnsley to Penistone, and 9 1840-49 covers showing the extra 2d continuing after the start of Cheap Postage.
