October alongside; reverse with very fine strike in red of the '1 Aerostiers / Nadar-Dartois / Duruof' cachet of the Compagnie des Aérostiers : the letter was entrusted direct to the pilot, Nadal, who posted it on arrival at Tours. Paris-Calais TPO cds for 22. October and London arrival cds 24. October on reverse. Despite faults, a very scarce item – particularly to the UK.
