Marseilles, 1868 entire letter from Berdiansk via Moscow with
Prussian transit boxed "P45", better destinations with 1819 entire
letter from Odessa sent privately to Brody where it entered the
mail and thence to Nice, at this time under Sardinian rule etc.;
except for the occasional fault, generally fine condition. 2113 cover image1860/1874: Collection of covers (23), mainly showing a wide range
of Polish cancellations with a strong emphasis on railway
postmarks; includes two entires, each bearing 10 kop. brown and
blue used twice to defraud the post, respectively from Suwalki and
Dworzec Terespolski (the latter ex Agathon Fabergé and Kirchner,
signed Bojanowicz), some better single-rate frankings from Miechow
(1874), Sierdaz (1873) and Sandomierz (1874, signed Rachmanow), a
group illustrating foreign rates with Austria, Germany, Switzerland
and France, 1870 entire to Tarare franked at the 28 kopek rate and
bearing the scarcer 1866 5 kop. black and greyish blue (Mi.-Nr.
20xb), and more. A few covers signed or with Mikulski certificate.

БЕССАРАБЕЦЪ” handstamp (Chief Administration for Trade, Sailing and Steamshipping / Russian Danube Steamshipping / Steamer Bessarabets), TULCEA arrival (Sept 17, gregorian). 1979 cover imageRussian Consular post offices, Bucharest; 1860 (Sept 9): Envelope
to Fräulein Lina von Manikowska at the Deutsche Buchhandlung in
Odessa, prepaid with "2 Lei - 20 Parale", struck on reverse by
BUKAREST despatch cds with fleuron in blue (Tchilinghirian fig.
34). Letter "2" in the daily ledger. Introduced in 1860, this cover
shows the earliest usage of this datestamp in Bucharest following
Gmach IV on page 108, where a cover from November 1860 is described
to be the first usage recorded. Illustrated in Edition d'Or volume

1980 cover imageRussian Consular post offices, Galatz; 1861 (March 1): Entire
letter to Kishinev struck on reverse with fine watery impression of
rare Cyrillic GALATS datestamp with fleuron in green
(Tchilinghirian fig. 49) and, on obverse very fine strike of
KISHINEV arrival datestamp (March 7) in black. The entire opens
well for display leaving the Galatz cancellation upright. A rare
and fine entire, with date earlier than that mentioned in
Tchilinghirian. Illustrated in Edition d'Or volume 72 on page 101.
