transferred with special mail steamers designed for the combination
of deep waters and the low waters of the estuary and the river of
the Danube, in particular the 'Balkan' in use from 30 March 1858
and the 'Taurus' from 8 August 1858. The present entire was

2227 image1904 (Feb. 5): British 6d. Telegram form, three pages written and
signed by Captain Robert Falcon Scott (1868-1912): "Dear Mr.
Christie, I beg to acknowledge your letter of Sept. 30th. I am
quite in agreement with your proposals which I take to be: That I
place myself in your hands to arrange a series of lectures in
various parts of the country to extend - Xmas next. You will take a
commission of 10% on such money as I may be fortunate enough to
make. In this respect, our interests being identical, I leave it
entirely to you to decide from your wider experience as to when to
lecture on share or when to accept a fee. This I hope carries the
outline of our arrangement, for I agree with you in not desiring a
formal legal agreement and in considering this exchange of letters
sufficient for our mutual understanding. Yours faithfully." A rare
Autograph - Captain Robert Falcoon Scott, British Royal Navy
officer and explorer who led two expeditions to the Antarctic
regions: The Discovery expedition 1901–04 and the Terra Nova
expedition1910–13. (Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3)
