6151 cover image1871/72 (Dated 1288): Sanar black, Plate D, two used examples in
differing shades, both position 5 on the sheet of 15 subjects, both

(positions 10/13) and a single Sanar example (position 14), used on

6165 (*) image1872/73 (Dated 1289): The reconstructed sheet of four unused, with
1 Rupee reddish purple on yellowish soft wove paper in a horizontal
pair (positions 1-2) and 6 Shahi (½ rupee) reddish-purple on
yellowish soft wove paper in the unique horizontal pair (positions
3-4), both in fine similar matching shades with very large even
margins all round, minor thin spots of no importance and mentioned
for full accuracy, ironed vertical bend in between the pairs and
well away from the design, fresh and very fine. A rarity of
considerable importance, the 1 rupee unused pair being one of just
six recorded with one being in the Tapling collection in the
British Library, the 6 Shahi pair being one of just two known -
this being unique in private hands with the other also housed in
the Tapling collection. A magnificent reconstruction and an
Exhibition piece of the highest calibre. Signed Todd AIEP.
