1872/73 (Dated 1289): The reconstructed sheet of four unused, with 1 Rupee reddish purple on yellowish soft wove paper in a horizontal pair (positions 1-2) and 6 Shahi (½ rupee) reddish-purple on yellowish soft
wove paper in the unique horizontal pair (positions 3-4), both in fine similar matching shades with very large even margins all round, minor thin spots of no importance and mentioned for full accuracy, ironed vertical bend in between
the pairs and well away from the design, fresh and very fine. A rarity of considerable importance, the 1 rupee unused pair being one of just six recorded with one being in the Tapling collection in the British Library, the 6 Shahi
pair being one of just two known - this being unique in private hands with the other also housed in the Tapling collection. A magnificent reconstruction and an Exhibition piece of the highest calibre. Signed Todd AIEP. Provenance:
