6081 cover imageBritish Post Offices in Egypt 1870 (July 29): Ladies envelope to Hamburg franked with Great Britain 1858 1 d. red, plate 137, lettered BE and 1867 10 d. red-brown, each cancelled by full 'B02' obliterator of Suez, whose cds appears top right, red oval framed PD and a framed arrival backstamp (Aug 11). The rate to the UK was adjusted to 8 d. per half ounce on July 1st, here plus 3 d.for the onward journey to Hamburg making this envelope a very fine example of the rare 11 d. rate. Cert. Todd (2011). 6093 cover imageZeppelin Mail 1931 (April 9): Cover to Birmingham franked with Air Mail adhesive 1926 27 m. orange-brown surcharged "GRAF ZEPPELIN / AVRIL 1931 / 100" tied by the extremely rare bilingual "SUEZ / GRAF ZEPPELIN" acceptance with another superb strike at left, reverse with CAIRO and FRIEDRICHSHAFEN (April 13) transits. Fine and clean condition. An extremely rare Suez Zeppelin despatch from Egypt, no more than ten flown from Suez (ref. Peter Smith). Ägyptenfahrt Vertragsstaaten 1931 (9. April), ägyptische Post, Brief mit dem extrem seltenen Sonderstempel "SUEZ / GRAF ZEPPELIN" auf Ägypten 100 M. Zeppelin, sehr sauber gestempelt, Sonderstempel nochmals klar nebengesetzt, rückseitig Transit CAIRO vom Folgetag FRIEDRICHSHAFEN (13.
