The rate to the UK was adjusted to 8 d. per half ounce on July 1st, here plus 3 d.for the onward journey to Hamburg making this envelope a very fine example of the rare 11 d. rate. Cert. Todd (2011). Fine and clean condition. An extremely rare Suez Zeppelin despatch from Egypt, no more than ten flown from Suez (ref. Peter Smith). Ägyptenfahrt Vertragsstaaten 1931 (9. April), ägyptische Post, Brief mit dem extrem seltenen Sonderstempel "SUEZ / GRAF ZEPPELIN" auf Ägypten 100 M. Zeppelin, sehr sauber gestempelt, Sonderstempel nochmals klar nebengesetzt, rückseitig Transit CAIRO vom Folgetag FRIEDRICHSHAFEN (13.
