1928 (Dec 6): John Carbery Trial Flight from Amsterdam - Cairo - Nairobi; cover from Egypt with 1927 5 m. red.brown tied by SHEPHEARD'S HOTEL / CAIRO cds (Dec 6) numbered '19' of the 40 covers carried on the final leg with
Kenya & Uganda 20 c. orange tied at left upon arrival (Dec 11). Labelled on return for a Mr. Cooke in Portsmouth, the cover also contains an invoice from Francis J. Field (the doyen of Airmail dealers), from whom this cover was purchased in
January 1929 for the sum of £ 4 10 s. Slight creasing away from adhesives and not affecting the fine appearance. Rare. (Image 1)

1946 (Nov 9): Essay as proposed to King Farouk with the set of seven values printed in black on grey card (220 x 280 mm.), the designs close to as issued: the Farouk head on the 1 m. being slightly reduced for example, as
indeed are most of the head-plates, the vignettes with less definition than on the issued stamps, the white lines surrounding EGYPTE and POSTES were later reduced. Signed in ink at base wand with slightly batter frame labelled "Croquis originaux"
(Original Sketch). Unique and most interesting insight into how the King was shown the Essays, with cardboard gold on blie embossed folder. (Image 1)
