2638 cover image1803 (Dec.11): Early entire letter from Andorra addressed to Mr. Jose Cortadellas (de Calaff) in Barcelona. Written in Catalan with interesting content: "My dear Sir, I receive your esteemed letter dated 6th of this month. I would like to tell you that the giver of this letter should not repair it and deliver what was necessary to release my registered letter and send me to say goodbye. You will have given me as much as I can to satisfy the said part of the money, whereupon Your Majesty will accommodate you and thank you for making the necessary arrangements so that you do not (to) do it but out of the good will that I have with those in your household and for being such good people." Fine and very early example of the merchant's postal service carried in bags by TRAGINERS and their mules or horses, to compete with the official mail for the lowest price. A fine and very early example. (Image 1) (Image 2)

I became a neighbour of the Andorrans and French ... and ... with the change of detachment, the transfer of command and the search for a house, I do not rest for a moment." Interesting letter written during the Carlist Wars (1833/76) period, which had a strong regional component (Basque region and Catalonia) with the result of region–specific law and customs arrangements kept for centuries. 113 image1858/1930: A fairly well-advanced old-style collection mounted on Yvert pages. The earlier issues are rather sparsely represented, but the period from 1880 to 1900 is almost complete in used condition. From 1908 onwards, the collection includes many better stamps; high values of the definitive issues are often unused. Numerous better sets are complete, comprising both used and unused examples, such as the 1910 Centenary issue, the 1930 Revolution set, as well as Airmail 1928 and the 1930 Zeppelin set, both complete and unused. There is also a good section of official stamps. (Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3) (Image 4) (Image 5) (Image 6) (Image 7) (Image 8) (Image 9) (Image 10) (Image 11) (Image 12)
