Spray, lettered AA-AD / EA-ED, the upper left complete pane of twenty unused, serial number '254' in top margin and, at base imprint "Price 3 Pence per Label, 1 Shilling per Row of 4, 10 Shillings per Sheet of 40", of lovely fresh colour and spectacular appearance, fresh and very fine, mounted in margin only, stamps unmounted og. A magnificent multiple, an item for the connoisseur Gi J30 = £ 15'500+. Remark: One of two panes of 20 from this plate recorded. The other pane, KI/OL, was in the Dr. Douglas Latto collection (1992) and is damaged. This pane, AA/ED, originates - as far as one can say - from the Interpanneau block of 32 offered by Mess. Cheverley & Co Auctions, 8-9 April 1896, lot 22. The adjoining block FA/GD, formerly attached to the bottom also exist. The lower row stamps HA-HD have not yet been recorded again.
