2138 image1817/59: Fine old-style collection housed in a self-manufactured album on black pages, beginning with two pre-philatelic covers from 1817-22 signed by the Duke of Parma and sent to Count Bracciforti, a third letter from the Duke of Parma is addressed to Comtesse Bracciaforti. The collection also includes a letter from Fr. Jacquier to Watelet at the Académie Française, and one from the French period with a red "PP PLAISANCE" cancel. In the philatelic era, the collection contains 19 loose stamps, 6 covers featuring 11 stamps; 8 stamps from the 2nd issue along with 1 letter; 5 stamps and 2 letters from the 3rd issue; and finally, 10 unused and one used stamp on a piece from the 4th issue (this one initiated by the Provisional Government). See page 4 of "The Polish Prisoner of War Camp Posts" by Autolycus (Howard Longden). Fine and rare, just 200 sets were printed(Image 1)
