4709 **/*/piece/cover/bof/(*) imageCollection 1890/1903: Significant specialised collection contained within two Scrigno red albums, comprising unused and used examples along with a few on piece and two covers. The assembly is split into two distinct areas. The first album's primary focus is upon 'Imperial British East Africa Company' adhesives and the second is dedicated to the overprints of 'British East Africa' and the overprinted on India at the Zanzibar Gazette. Both follow a similar pattern of presentation and study with a range of unused, used examples, as well as varieties and where possible different specifications (shades/wmk.) following the catalogue specification. Whilst the majority are singles there are multiples, including strips, blocks and in the case of the first area complete sheets of sixty unused. Little duplication, with unused imperforate singles of the 1890 Lithographed by Bradbury Wilkinson issues, De La Rue 1897/1903 1 r. bright ultramarine (with both other shades) to 5 r. deep sepia unused. The study of the overprints highlights examples from the listed varieties as well as those which are apparent but unlisted such as raised/dropped letters, inverted and wide or narrow letters. These two albums are an excellent opportunity for the discerning philatelist with a passion for specialisation Gi = £ 18'500+(Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3) (Image 4) (Image 5) (Image 6) (Image 7) (Image 8) (Image 9) (Image 10) (Image 11) (Image 12) (Image 13) (Image 14) (Image 15) (Image 16) (Image 17) (Image 18) (Image 19) (Image 20) (Image 21) (Image 22) (Image 23) (Image 24) (Image 25) (Image 26) (Image 27) (Image 28) (Image 29) (Image 30) (Image 31) (Image 32) (Image 33) (Image 34) (Image 35) (Image 36) (Image 37) (Image 38) (Image 39) (Image 40) (Image 41) (Image 42) (Image 43) (Image 44) (Image 45) (Image 46) (Image 47) (Image 48) (Image 49) (Image 50)
