2906 image1894/1969ca.: Accumulation with SUDAN - Selection of eleven covers including early postal stationery cards, picture postcards, and envelopes. Highlights include a 1899 'Soudan' 4 m. overprint on an Egypt 5 m., one of which was sent to Switzerland, and a 1908 3 m. lilac card uprated with 5 m. sent to 'The Hague'. Additionally, picture postcards are franked with Sudan 2 m., and a 1948 first day cover is franked with blocks of four 5 m. and 10 m. stamps. The condition is mixed, presenting a scarce assortment of Sudanese postage on covers. YEMEN - Group of forty-four sheets of the Universal Postal Union's 75th Anniversary issue, including 4 b., 6 b., and 10 b. values, unused with original gum, in sheets of twenty imperforate, and 14 b. values, unused with original gum, in a perforated sheet of twenty, with eleven examples of each value. ETHIOPIA - Collection in both used and unused conditions starting with Menelik II and subsequent issues, including some overprints. The collection also features approximately forty more modern letters, twelve sheets and part sheets of fifty from the 1931 airmail issue, used and unused. 2917A image1870/2000ca.: The Near East, Middle East, and North Africa collection: A fine, exclusively used collection organized in two large stockbooks comprising stamps from Bahrain, Muscat, Kuwait, Iraq, Palestine, Egypt, Sudan, Morocco (including Tanger), and Middle East Forces (Eritrea, Cyrenaica, Somalia, Tripolitania). Only issues of British administrations are included in one volume. The second volume consists of stamps from Middle Eastern countries that were at some point related to British administrations but are from after independence. The first volume, in particular, contains many excellent stamps in selected condition with practically only clean cancellations. 1771 imageLiteratur 1985-2000: Heinrich Köhler-Auktionen, die John R. Boker Jr.-Sammlung Altdeutsche Staaten, Teil I bis Teil V in 5 Bänden mit 3 Schubern. Exemplare in luxuriöser Ausstattung in Kunstleder mit Goldprägung und Goldschnitt, beschrieben, bewertet und versteigert von Volker Parthen. Der Katalog war seinerzeit schnell vergriffen und wird heute kaum am Markt angeboten, ist aber sehr gesucht. Die Lose wurden, anders als bei den normalen Versteigerungskatalogen, in eine chronologische Ordnung nach den einzelnen Gebieten gebracht und mit Ergebnissen publiziert. Das Nonplusultra-Werk für den Altdeutschland-Philatelisten, das eine der schönsten je existiert habenden Sammlungen abbildet. 2912 1870/2010: Overseas collections are housed in 9 jumbo stock books, comprising only clean, and only used stamps from the following areas (listed in order of appearance): Sudan, Egypt, Libya, Ethiopia, Burma/Myanmar, Nepal, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Ajman, Dubai, Ghana, The Gambia, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Tonga, Tanzania, Uganda, Samoa, India, Bangladesh, Straits Settlements, Malayan States, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Brunei, and Singapore. In the describer's opinion, Brunei and India represent the most valuable parts of this lot. As for the other regions, they feature a colourful array of magnificent thematic issues comprising also souvenir sheets
